COMMUNITY GUIDELINES

Effective upon public launch · Last reviewed: October 2026

Fellowsheep exists so believers can grow in faith together. These guidelines explain how we treat one another here, what we will not allow, and what happens when something goes wrong.

The Short Version

If you remember nothing else, remember these six things:

Love your neighbour

Speak with kindness, even when you disagree.

Be real

Use your own identity. No impersonation, no fake accounts.

Guard what is shared in trust

Prayer requests and personal stories deserve care.

Keep it safe and clean

No hate, harassment, explicit content, or harm.

Protect young people

We have zero tolerance for anything that endangers a child.

Report, do not retaliate

If something is wrong, tap Report and let us handle it.

1. Why We Have These Guidelines

Fellowsheep is a community first and an app second. People come here to read Scripture, pray, and grow, often during some of the most tender and difficult moments of their lives. These guidelines keep that space safe, welcoming, and centred on faith.

They apply to everyone: members, room administrators, and content partners. They form part of our Terms of Service, and breaking them can lead to the actions described in Section 11.

Fellowsheep is free for everyone and always will be. These guidelines are how we protect that gift so the community stays worth belonging to.

2. Our Community Values

Our guidelines flow directly from six core community values:

  • Love and respect. Treat every person as someone made in the image of God. Disagreement is allowed. Contempt is not.
  • Truth in love. Speak honestly and gently (Ephesians 4:15). Correction should build people up, not tear them down.
  • Humility. Nobody here has it all figured out. Come to learn as much as you come to teach.
  • Welcome. Believers from many churches, denominations, countries, and seasons of faith use Fellowsheep. Make room for each other.
  • Care. Carry one another's burdens (Galatians 6:2). What people share with you in trust should stay in trust.
  • Encouragement. Encourage and build each other up (1 Thessalonians 5:11). This is the heartbeat of every room.

3. What We Love to See

We want Fellowsheep to be filled with faith, life, and genuine fellowship. We love to see:

  • Words of encouragement, prayer, and practical support
  • Testimonies and answered prayers shared with the community
  • Honest questions about faith, asked with a humble heart
  • Warm welcomes for new members in your rooms
  • Scripture shared with context and care
  • Invitations to join rooms, reading plans, and conversations
  • Reports of anything that does not belong, made quickly and calmly
  • Feedback that helps us make Fellowsheep better

4. What Is Not Allowed

The following are not permitted anywhere on Fellowsheep, including posts, comments, prayer requests, room names, room descriptions, profile information, and photos.

Hate and harassment

  • Content that promotes or incites hatred or discrimination against any person or group based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or nationality
  • Bullying, threats, intimidation, or targeted abuse of any member
  • Mocking or belittling someone's prayer request, testimony, or struggle
  • Using Scripture as a weapon to shame or humiliate a person

Sexual and explicit content

  • Sexually explicit, pornographic, or sexually suggestive content, including images, text, and links
  • Unwanted romantic or sexual advances toward other members

Violence and harm

  • Graphic violence, gore, or content that glorifies harm
  • Content that encourages or glorifies self-harm or suicide
  • Threats of violence against any person or group

Deception and impersonation

  • Pretending to be another person, pastor, church, ministry, or public figure
  • Deliberately false or misleading statements about Scripture, doctrine, or other people
  • Creating extra accounts to get around a suspension or ban
  • Promoting cults, extremist ideologies, or organisations that contradict biblical values

Spam and commercial activity

  • Spam, repetitive posts, and chain messages
  • Advertising, selling products or services, or recruiting for a business
  • Asking members for money, or charging for access to a room, without written permission from Fellowsheep

Other people's rights and privacy

  • Sharing copyrighted material you do not have the right to share, such as full sermons, books, or paid study material
  • Sharing someone's personal details, such as their address, phone number, workplace, or health information, without their consent
  • Taking content from a private room and posting it elsewhere without the permission of the people involved

Misuse of the platform

  • Using bots, scripts, or automated tools
  • Trying to hack, scrape, or reverse engineer Fellowsheep
  • Anything unlawful under applicable US federal or state law

5. Disagreement, Doctrine, and Denominations

Fellowsheep is not tied to one denomination. Believers who hold different convictions on secondary matters, such as worship style, church governance, or how particular passages are understood, share this space.

  • Disagreement is fine. Personal attacks are not.
  • Explain your convictions respectfully and listen to others the same way.
  • Do not argue to win. If a conversation heats up, step back or ask a room administrator for help.
  • We do not remove a post simply because it reflects a different church tradition. We do remove content that attacks people, spreads deliberate falsehoods, or promotes cults or extremism.
  • For serious questions about doctrine or personal struggles, speak with your own pastor or church leader.

6. Prayer Requests and Sensitive Sharing

Prayer requests are among the most meaningful things shared on Fellowsheep. They often include health, grief, family, and financial struggles. Please handle them with care.

When you share

  • Share only what you are comfortable with. Requests in public rooms or the community feed can be seen by other members.
  • Do not post private details about someone else, such as their health or family situation, without their permission, even with good intentions.

When you respond

  • Lead with prayer and encouragement.
  • Avoid unsolicited advice, diagnoses, or judgment.
  • Do not turn a prayer request into gossip.
  • Celebrate with people when they mark a request as answered.
  • What is shared in a private room stays in that room.

If someone is in crisis: Fellowsheep is a community, not an emergency or counselling service.

  • If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency number right away.
  • In the United States, you can call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.
  • If you are elsewhere, please contact local emergency services or a trusted person near you.
  • If someone in a room shares something that worries you, tell a room administrator and use the Report option so our team can see it.

7. Rooms: Guidance for Members and Administrators

Rooms are the heart of Fellowsheep. Anyone can join or create one, and every room carries its own culture.

For every member

  • Stay close to the purpose of the room.
  • Respect the decisions of the room administrator.
  • In private and secret rooms, keep what is said inside the room.

For room administrators

Creating or leading a room means taking on extra responsibility. Administrators agree to:

  • Welcome new members and set a kind, healthy tone
  • Remove content that breaks these guidelines when it is brought to their attention
  • Use admin tools fairly, and never remove or demote members for reasons unrelated to conduct
  • Keep the room name, description, and cover image honest and appropriate
  • Report serious matters to Fellowsheep rather than handling them alone, including threats, child safety concerns, and anyone at risk of self-harm

Fellowsheep may suspend, archive, or transfer ownership of a room that repeatedly breaks these guidelines.

8. Protecting Young People

Fellowsheep is for people aged 13 and above. Protecting young members is not negotiable.

  • Adults must never seek, groom, or pursue inappropriate contact or relationships with anyone under 18.
  • Sexual content involving minors in any form is strictly prohibited. Accounts involved are permanently removed immediately, and we report such content to the relevant authorities as required by law, including the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in the United States.
  • If you believe a member is under 13, please report them. We will suspend the account and delete the associated data as described in our Privacy Policy.
  • We encourage rooms for younger members to be led by responsible adults and to keep conversations in the open.

If a child is in danger, contact local emergency services first, then report it to us.

9. Content Partners

Churches, ministries, and creators who share content through the Partners Platform follow everything above, plus a few extra standards. Partner content must be:

  • Original, or properly licensed for use on Fellowsheep
  • Biblically grounded and consistent with orthodox Christian teaching
  • Free of false, misleading, or harmful material
  • Free of advertising or promotion of commercial products and services

All partner content is reviewed before it goes live. Submissions may be approved, returned with requested changes, or rejected with a written reason. Published content can be removed later if it no longer meets these standards.

10. How to Report a Concern

Reporting inside the app

  • Tap the Report option on any post, comment, or prayer request.
  • Choose the reason that fits best and add details if you can.

Reporting by email

For urgent safety concerns, or anything you cannot report in the app, email team@fellowsheep.ai.

What happens next

  • Our moderation team reviews every report. We aim to review all reports within 72 hours.
  • We may remove content, warn or suspend a member, or take no action if nothing is wrong.
  • We do not tell the reported member who made the report.
  • To protect everyone's privacy, we may not be able to share the details of what action was taken.

Please report in good faith. Using the Report option to harass someone or to silence a fair disagreement is itself a violation of these guidelines.

11. What Happens When Guidelines Are Broken

We respond in proportion to what happened. Most issues are resolved with a removal or a gentle warning. The usual path looks like this:

StepWhat happensWhen it usually applies
1Content is removedA single post, comment, or prayer request breaks these guidelines.
2Written warningA first or minor violation, or a pattern that needs correcting.
3Temporary suspensionRepeated violations, or one that is more serious.
4Permanent account removalSevere violations, repeated suspensions, or attempts to return after a ban.

This is a guide, not a strict checklist. Serious violations, such as threats, child safety violations, or severe harassment, can lead directly to permanent removal without a warning.

Rooms can be suspended or removed, and partners can lose the ability to submit content. Fellowsheep makes these decisions at its discretion, as set out in our Terms of Service.

12. Appeals

We are human and we can get things wrong. If you believe your content was removed or your account was actioned in error:

  • Email team@fellowsheep.ai with the subject line “Moderation Appeal”.
  • Include your username and a short explanation of what happened.
  • We will respond within 3 business days.

Our decision after an appeal is final.

13. Help Us Improve These Guidelines

These guidelines are written for you. If something is unclear, unfair, or missing, tell us at feedback@fellowsheep.ai. We read every message.

14. Changes to These Guidelines

As Fellowsheep grows, these guidelines will grow with it. When we make material changes, we will notify you in the app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of Fellowsheep after that date means you accept the updated guidelines.

15. Contact Us

We aim to respond to all messages within 5 business days.

Our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy are available at fellowsheep.ai/terms and fellowsheep.ai/privacy.

“Thank you for helping make Fellowsheep a place of love, truth, and welcome.”
